Your Appointment / What should I bring?

It is best to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing to your procedure. You should bring a sanitary napkin and a change of underwear. If you are opting for sedation you will need to bring someone to drive you home. Procedures using local anesthetic or medical abortions do not require a driver, but you may still want a support person with you. Many providers do not allow children in the waiting rooms, as it is a long visit. Some facilities offer separate accommodations for children, ask your chosen provider or the ProChoice Hotline (1-800-ABORTION) for details.

Also remember: you will need your payment, insurance card or Medicaid card with photo id and proof of age in states where parental involvement is required.
